As “American Idol” advanced into the Top 24, JLo shouldered the job of informing Chris Medina, 26, that he wouldn’t advance in the competition. Medina’s girlfriend had suffered a traumatic brain injury just two months before the couple’s scheduled wedding. “I actually cried a lot more than they showed on TV,” JLo revealed. JLo also dished on the struggle to decide whether or not to actually join the judges’ panel on the famous singing competition. “It just wasn’t something that I thought was in my plans really,” said JLo. The singer had other career plans already set in motion when the show’s producers approached her with the idea to join the program, including a film and another record. JLo’s new song and video “On the Floor” is number one on iTunes. Good point KristenJn…she is lucky. She probably wouldn’t get to Hollywood if she were on idol. Anyway, I was curious as to what she was saying in this video and she sounds sincere. I’m happy for her but I’m surprised the shunned singers haven’t turned some criticism to her. I love her music but she doesn’t have the strongest voice. Some songs of hers have come out better than others. She is a very lucky person w/ all of the amazing singers out there.
